Business Performance Analyst | OCBC Bank

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at OCBC Bank, located in Malaysia. This role is pivotal in supporting a finance transformation initiative, ensuring timely and accurate financial data consolidation and insightful reporting across multiple regions, helping to build the bank of the future.

• Team: Global Consumer Financial Services (GCFS) Finance team
• Mission: Centralize and manage financial data, perform analytical tasks, and drive process improvements for regional finance operations.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, formulas, macros), Microsoft Access, SQL (plus)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Integrity: Ensure the integrity and consolidation of financial and non-financial data for the GCFS division across various markets.
• Performance Reporting: Prepare and analyze consolidated performance reports, conducting variance analyses to provide actionable insights.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Standardize budgeting practices, manage operational budgets and forecasts, and ensure accurate data loading and supplementary information for Group Finance.
• Transformation Support: Participate in finance transformation initiatives, including user acceptance testing, process proposals, and facilitating smooth transitions for new reporting systems.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance and automate workflows, develop documentation, and propose improvements for data consolidation and reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an experienced finance professional.
• Experience: 5+ years in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, or data analysis roles, preferably within the banking sector.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access; good understanding of accounting principles (P&L, balance sheet) and financial processes; excellent logical reasoning and problem-solving skills; effective communication and collaboration.
• Bonus: Prior experience working in a shared services environment or regional finance team; experience setting up or working in a shared services/centralized hub team.
