Job Description: Business Operations Intern

TI offers a dynamic three-month internship program for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in accounting, finance, industrial engineering, operations, and supply chain. Interns are active contributors from day one, not simply trainees, becoming involved in the company’s business systems and operational methods.

As a Texas Instruments Business Operations Intern, you’ll apply your college skills while gaining valuable business, technical, and life skills. Opportunities span various business and operations functions, including: accounting, finance, pricing, and supply chain.

Potential Internship Projects:

Accounting: Analyzing business cost trends; updating semiconductor pricing for internal transfers; understanding and comparing R&D expenses and trends to forecasts/estimates; performing monthly journal entries and account reconciliation.
Finance: Developing projections for profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet items; supporting managers with reviews of actual and projected spending; developing analytical tools and reporting for financial and operational areas.
Operations: Monitoring product support at manufacturing sites; performing supply and demand analysis; analyzing supply strategy and factory optimization; improving reporting through automation.
Procurement and Logistics: Leading sourcing activities (qualifying bidders, bid discussions, analyzing results, awarding opportunities); defining processes and deploying new systems capabilities for the WPL logistics and procurement team.
Pricing: Executing pricing and developing quoting strategies to achieve revenue and share growth while maximizing TI profit.

Internship Period: Summer internship opportunities are available from May to August.
