Business Intelligence Intern | Bradesco Bank

The Tone:
This is a one-year internship at Bradesco Bank. Bradesco Bank is a financial institution that provides a range of banking and financial services. This Business Intelligence Intern role is designed for an entry to mid-level candidate who is interested in banking, finance, data visualization, and analytics. The intern will leverage tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, and Excel to support dashboard development, financial reporting, data analysis, and automation initiatives. This position is crucial for helping to transform complex data into accurate and actionable insights for business partners and management within the bank.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop Dashboards: Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and recurring business intelligence reports.
• Extract & Analyze Data: Write and review SQL queries to extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze data from internal reporting sources.
• Automate Data Processes: Use Python to clean, transform, automate, and analyze financial and operational datasets.
• Support Financial Reporting: Support portfolio, revenue, balance, KPI, profitability, and business performance reporting.
• Ensure Data Quality: Perform data quality checks and reconcile report outputs to source data for accuracy and consistency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related quantitative field is preferred; however, equivalent practical experience may also be considered. Candidates must possess a basic understanding of finance, banking operations, or general business performance metrics.
• Experience: This role requires working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, and fundamental data analysis concepts. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
• Skills: Power BI, SQL, Python, Microsoft Excel proficiency, data visualization, strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Power BI features such as Power Query, DAX, data modeling, or ETL concepts would be considered a significant advantage. A genuine interest in financial services, wealth management, banking analytics, or corporate reporting is also preferred. The ability to communicate technical findings in a clear and business-friendly manner is highly valued.
