The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship for the Orchestra Music Academy (OMA), a remote position within the United States, offering a unique opportunity to help build North America’s next generation orchestra performance network. OMA is creating a new model that combines professional performance training with real-world concert production, international touring, and live public performances alongside internationally recognized recording artists and professional orchestras. This role is not a traditional music internship; rather, it is crucial for launching OMA by focusing on a highest priority: developing strategic, long-term partnerships with performance venues throughout North America to create a growing network for student rehearsals, performances, and professional concert residencies before live audiences.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Venue Research: Research potential venue partners across the United States and Canada, identifying and evaluating various types of theatres, including performing arts centers, historic theatres, university theatres, and multi-purpose entertainment venues, suitable for professional orchestra performances and long-term student residencies.
• Database Development: Build comprehensive databases of venue operators and key decision-makers to streamline and support all partnership outreach efforts.
• Partnership Outreach: Assist in strategic partnership outreach and relationship development with identified venues, aiming to secure them as future OMA performance homes and residency partners.
• Proposal Creation: Help develop compelling venue partnership presentations and proposals designed to articulate OMA’s unique model and value proposition to potential collaborators.
• Market Expansion Planning: Identify opportunities for the Academy’s expansion into new markets, assisting with strategic planning for future Academy locations and operational requirements.
• Community Research: Research communities possessing strong youth orchestra and music education programs, identifying potential areas for Academy growth and recruitment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Ideal for students or recent graduates interested in arts administration, music business, entertainment management, venue management, business development, marketing, partnerships, event production, or performing arts leadership.
• Experience: No specific years of prior experience are required for this internship role.
• Skills: Ambitious, entrepreneurial, and highly motivated.
