Small Business Banking Intern | Firstrust Bank

This role is crucial for supporting the bank’s small business loan portfolio by assisting with the renewal of maturing mortgages and lines of credit, offering hands-on experience and a foundation for a career in banking.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Renewal Monitoring: Monitor daily dashboards to assess maturing lines of credit and term loans against established renewal benchmarks.
• Renewal Coordination: Coordinate with credit officers, team leads, branch managers, or small business lenders to take appropriate steps based on renewal determinations.
• Credit Review: Analyze credit reports and review loan documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Project Support: Participate in special projects, such as process improvements and product development, as assigned by management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively working towards completion of a college degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a High School degree.
• Experience: Ability to work under supervision to learn relationship management and apply judgment, take initiative, and handle priorities.
• Skills: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated strong work habits, attention to detail, and teamwork.
