Branch Manager | Fireside Hearth & Home

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Fireside Hearth & Home, located in Nashville, TN. Fireside Hearth & Home is the world’s largest and leading fireplace installing distributor and retail dealer in North America, serving as a subsidiary of Hearth & Home Technologies. As a team of over 400 hearth experts across 29 branches, the company focuses on making the fireplace selection and installation process seamless. This role is crucial for managing all branch functions outside of sales, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, safety, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Team: Manages Division Field Operations Supervisors, Service members, and Warehouse members.
• Mission: Owns all branch functions excluding sales, focusing on profitability, safety, installations, service, and customer satisfaction for the Nashville branch.
• Tech Stack: Kronos, Commerce System

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Operations: Oversee the daily responsibilities of Division Field Operations Supervisors, Service members, and Warehouse members, providing coaching, conducting performance reviews, and training.
• Manage Financials: Achieve branch financial and strategic goals by managing labor costs, capacity planning, G&A expenses, working capital, and conducting quarterly inventory audits.
• Optimize Scheduling: Review and coordinate installation and service schedules to maximize productivity and enhance customer service levels for both builder and homeowner customers.
• Resolve Issues: Receive and resolve escalated customer issues, delegating responsibilities for quick resolution and addressing A/R issues caused by incomplete or unsatisfactory quality.
• Ensure Safety & Culture: Provide a safe, professional, and respectful work environment for all members while promoting teamwork across Branch, Hub, and Sales teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, an operations-related, or a construction-related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in the hearth or construction industry, including experience managing others, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), strong relationship-building capabilities, and exceptional customer service; Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to multi-task; Computer literacy, ability to operate a forklift, and comprehensive knowledge of hearth products, installation requirements, company policies, and local building codes.
• Bonus: Gas Piping License, General Contractors License
