Bookkeeper | Preschool West Nottingham Academy

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Transactions: Maintain accurate financial records by diligently recording daily transactions.
• Manage Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all financial activities are properly categorized and accounted for.
• Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile various accounts and assist with the comprehensive preparation of financial statements.
• Track Finances: Monitor income and expenses closely, consistently updating ledgers within accounting software.
• Process & Report: Manage all invoices, track payments, support budget monitoring, and prepare detailed financial reports for leadership.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Proficient in core bookkeeping and accounting principles for accurate financial recording.
• Experience: Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance is required.
• Skills: Strong bookkeeping and journal entry skills for accurate transaction recording; ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and related reports; proficiency with accounting software and basic finance concepts; exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks; clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Bonus: Experience within education or nonprofit settings; relevant coursework or certification in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.
