What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain a set of financial statements for a legal entity and assume responsibility for maintenance of general ledger related accounts.
• Quality Control: Initiate quality control procedures and monitor workflow to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Problem Solving: Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems of varying complexity in accordance with organizational objectives and guidelines.
• Task Management: Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to four years if non-degreed. This is an entry-level accounting position.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required. Demonstrated basic knowledge in the use of PC-based business applications is necessary, with sufficient skills to learn automated payroll/accounting/business applications.
• Skills: Effectively communicate with diverse audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. Possess job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete accounting tasks, and the ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines. Attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
