Finance Development Program Analyst | BioMarin

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at BioMarin, located in the San Francisco, CA Bay Area. BioMarin is a leading rare disease biotechnology company focused on genetically defined conditions, striving to develop medicines that make a profound impact on people’s lives. Since 1997, BioMarin has delivered a portfolio of revolutionary therapies for conditions like achondroplasia, PKU, CLN2, MPS, Fabry disease, and Pompe disease, offering new possibilities for patients and families with limited options. This Finance Development Program Analyst role is designed to accelerate an individual’s growth as a finance and business leader, providing meaningful exposure to the biotech industry through hands-on functional experience, building leadership capabilities, and contributing to impactful work across various finance areas.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Execute: Gain hands-on functional experience across multiple facets of corporate finance during a structured 24-month program.
• Develop: Build leadership capabilities through active participation, demonstrating ownership, influencing others, fostering collaboration across teams, and delivering results with accountability.
• Rotate: Complete two distinct 12-month rotations, potentially exploring areas such as corporate finance, R&D finance, financial reporting, accounting, audit, and treasury functions.
• Grow: Benefit from continuous coaching, specialized functional and leadership training modules, and robust community engagement opportunities tailored for professional enrichment through quarterly “Development Day” programming.
• Connect: Cultivate a broad and robust professional network across various finance functions and other departments within the dynamic biotech industry, specifically within a mid-cap publicly traded company.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Experience: 0-2 years of full-time work experience; demonstrated leadership through academic, professional, volunteer, or extracurricular experiences.
• Skills: Motivated, organized, highly skilled with today’s systems, applications, and platforms (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), independent worker and initiative-taker who enjoys problem-solving, excellent verbal and written communication, strong time management skills with the ability to manage various tasks, priorities, and timelines, curiosity, learning agility, and enthusiasm for building a career in Finance.
• Bonus: Complex Excel modeling skills, PowerPoint visualization skills, familiarity with Copilot or other AI tools.
