About Company

Founded in 2012 by physicians and human rights activists Arash and Kamiar Alaei, The Global Institute for Health and Human Rights (GIHHR) was formally approved by the University at Albany in 2013. Our core mission is to foster a deeper understanding of the critical intersection between health and human rights. We focus on vital areas including reproductive health, maternal and child care, HIV/AIDS prevention, education, and harm reduction, actively working to redefine health as a fundamental human right and bridge the gap between these two essential fields.

GIHHR operates as a collaborative and impact-driven institute, partnering with a diverse range of organizations at both national and international levels. We advance our mission through comprehensive efforts in research, advocacy, policy development, education, and practical implementation across numerous projects of varying scope. Committed to continuous expansion and improvement, we invite you to explore our initiatives and learn how you can contribute to advancing global health and human rights.
