Finance Development Program Analyst | BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time development program at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., located in the San Francisco, CA, Bay Area. BioMarin is a leading rare disease biotechnology company focused on genetically defined conditions, developing medicines that profoundly impact patients’ lives. Since its founding in 1997, BioMarin has delivered a portfolio of revolutionary therapies for conditions like achondroplasia, PKU, and Batten disease, and has recently expanded to include therapies for Fabry and Pompe disease. This program is designed to accelerate participant growth as a finance and business leader, providing meaningful exposure to the biotech industry and contributing to impactful work.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Gain: Hands-on functional experience across various finance domains within the biotech industry.
• Build: Leadership capabilities through on-the-job learning, coaching, and specialized training.
• Contribute: To impactful financial work and initiatives across different areas of the Finance organization.
• Participate: In a structured 24-month program consisting of two distinct 12-month rotations.
• Experience: Rotations in areas such as corporate finance, R&D finance, financial reporting, accounting, audit, treasury, and operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting. Entry-Level.
• Experience: 0-2 years of professional work experience. Demonstrated leadership through academic, professional, volunteer, or extracurricular experiences.
• Skills: Motivated, organized, highly skilled with systems like Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time management, problem-solving ability, and accountability for work product.
• Bonus: Complex Excel modeling skills, PowerPoint visualization skills, familiarity with Copilot or other AI tools.
