Bi-Lingual Staff Accountant | Usalco
The Tone:
This is a Staff Accountant role for Usalco, a rapidly growing national leader in the potable and industrial water/wastewater treatment chemistry industry. This position supports the company’s robust growth plan and is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing essential reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The individual will work closely with the finance team to support daily accounting operations and contribute to the company’s overall financial health.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile accounts: Complete monthly reconciliations with input from the Senior Accountant and Controller.
• Manage banking operations: Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Process payroll: Collect and verify timesheet data, calculate wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and taxes in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support financial transactions: Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing as needed.
• Aid in audits: Provide assistance during year-end and other financial audits.
• Support tax compliance: Assist the Tax Accountant with various tax and regulatory filings as required.
• Track financial tasks: Execute and track progress on the corporate accounting calendar and reconciliation schedule.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline.
• Experience: 1-2+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience, gained in either public accounting or industry. Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Skills: Strong general knowledge of U.S. GAAP, excellent analytical, organization, and communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification.
