Behavior Therapist | Beyou Behavior Therapy

The Tone:
This is a part-time Behavior Therapist role at Beyou Behavior Therapy, primarily located in the Oakley, Brentwood, and Antioch areas. Beyou provides compassionate and effective Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) care for children on the autism spectrum. This role is crucial in delivering direct, play-based therapy that helps children develop essential life, communication, and social skills, while offering meaningful support to their families. • Team: Works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Mission: Help children build essential life, communication, and social skills while supporting families in meaningful ways.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Therapy Delivery: Deliver one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy directly to children.
• Plan Implementation: Implement behavior intervention plans that have been designed by a BCBA.
• Skill Development: Support children in the development of critical communication, social, and self-help skills.
• Data Collection: Collect and accurately record session data as required for client progress tracking.
• Environment Maintenance: Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. Consistent availability Monday–Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM is required.
• Experience: Prior experience working with children, such as in babysitting, tutoring, coaching, or teaching roles. No specific number of years required.
• Skills:
• Ability to effectively deliver one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy and implement behavior intervention plans.
• Proficiency in collecting and accurately recording session data.
• Strong verbal communication and collaborative skills for client interactions and team coordination.
• Adaptability when working with diverse families and communities across various home, school, and community settings.
• Capability to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, including adherence to client-specific physical and safety requirements, and a willingness to obtain CPR certification, TB test, physical exam, and vaccinations.
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute within the Oakley, Brentwood, and Antioch service areas.
• Bonus: Fluency in French.
