Direct Support Professional (Entry-Level) | Action Behavior Centers – ABA Therapy for Autism

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Action Behavior Centers, located in Fountain, CO. Action Behavior Centers is dedicated to helping children with autism build essential communication, social, and independent skills. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day by supporting young children in their development and success. You will join a supportive team focused on empowering kids through play-based therapy.

The TL;DR

• Type: Full-Time (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm; optional Saturdays)
• Location: In-person, Fountain, CO
• Pay: $20–$28 hourly
• Mission: Help children ages 18 months to 8 years learn communication, social, and independent skills through play-based ABA therapy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Implement Therapy: Follow personalized treatment plans and collect simple data during therapy sessions.
• Facilitate Learning: Help children learn through engaging activities such as play, movement, reading, games, and hands-on experiences.
• Engage Actively: Stay highly active and involved throughout therapy sessions with young children.
• Maintain Environment: Ensure the therapy environment is consistently clean, organized, and safe for all children.
• Collaborate: Work alongside a supportive team dedicated to the growth and success of the children.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position requiring a high school diploma.
• Experience: Must be at least 18 years old, with no prior experience necessary. Willingness to complete paid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 20 days of hire is required.
• Skills: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs; comfortable sitting, standing, crouching, and getting on/off the floor frequently while maintaining an active pace with young children; reliable attendance and punctuality; possesses a team mindset to occasionally support nearby clinics if needed.
• Bonus: Previous childcare experience (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor), mental health roles (QMHP, behavioral health technician), experience as a camp counselor, paraprofessional, caregiver, or life skills assistant, or a degree in Psychology, Child Development, or any Health Sciences.
