What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Procedures: Assist with substantive audit procedures and testing on client engagements.
• Workpaper Preparation: Prepare and document audit workpapers to support audit findings.
• Financial Analysis: Review and analyze financial information to identify trends or inconsistencies.
• Process Walkthroughs: Participate in walkthroughs of financial and operational processes.
• Skill Development: Learn about internal controls, risk assessment, and financial reporting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, seeking an entry-level internship.
• Experience: No previous accounting or internship experience is strictly required; however, students must be eager to learn, contribute, and explore a career in accounting.
• Skills: Demonstrated curiosity and a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, clear communication, ability to collaborate, and an analytical mindset.
• Bonus: Intention to pursue CPA licensure, strong academic performance, and an interest in technology and how tools such as AI, automation, and data analytics are changing the accounting profession.
