The Tone:
This is an internship at Sensiba LLP, located in San Jose, CA. This role supports the efficient execution of audit engagements, focusing on financial statement audits and assurance services. It is instrumental in delivering high-quality service while gaining exposure to clients’ accounting practices, risk areas, and compliance requirements.

• Mission: Support the efficient execution of audit engagements, build professional relationships, and gain exposure to clients’ accounting practices, risk areas, and compliance requirements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement Support: Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members.
• Testing Procedures: Conduct substantive testing and analytical procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Document Preparation: Prepare financial statements, internal controls, and other relevant documentation.
• Collaborative Improvement: Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive recommendations.
• Audit Documentation: Prepare workpapers and documentation to support audit findings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrollment at an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting, with expected degree completion between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Experience: CA CPA eligible.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities; high level of motivation to learn and produce high-quality work; effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively; ability to work flexibly as part of a team to meet periodic and project-based deadlines; clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Minimum accounting GPA of 3.0 preferred.
