Job Description

About ZipHearing

Founded in 2016, ZipHearing is built on the belief that everyone deserves access to affordable hearing care without sacrificing the quality of a local professional. Through our nationwide network of tightly integrated provider partners, we have served over 18,000 customers and earned more than 750 5-star reviews.

Our core ethos is simple: put patients and providers first, and the rest takes care of itself. We are a small, fully remote team spanning sales, technology, customer experience, and content, working together to change how consumers navigate hearing healthcare.

About the Role

ZipHearing is hiring an AuD to become the primary face of our YouTube channel. This is a full-time, remote position for a clinician who enjoys educating consumers, appearing on camera, and staying current with developments in hearing healthcare. Your work will reach millions of consumers annually, helping them navigate the rapidly changing hearing care industry and make informed purchasing decisions. We are making a long-term investment in building the channel into a nationally-trusted consumer resource, and you will be the face of that initiative.

Clinical Integrity First

You are not being hired to be a corporate salesperson. Your mandate is to educate consumers and earn their trust. We believe that if we explain the hearing landscape honestly, our value proposition sells itself. While you will naturally invite viewers to learn more about ZipHearing, you will never be asked to push our services aggressively or compromise your clinical integrity and objectivity.

Autonomy and Strategy

This position comes with significant creative freedom and ownership. Each year we will assign a core curriculum of priority videos that align with company initiatives, but the bulk of your content roadmap will come from your own ideas, audience questions, product launches, clinical research, and emerging consumer trends. It is not designed for someone who expects a detailed list of weekly assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Channel: Serve as the primary on-camera educator and public face of the ZipHearing YouTube channel.
  • Content Creation: Research, script, present, and help produce high-quality educational videos.
  • Product Reviews: Evaluate and review new hearing aids, and emerging technologies as they are released.
  • Industry Interviews: Interview industry experts, manufacturers, and hearing care professionals when appropriate.
  • Production Management: Collaborate directly with our video editor throughout the production and publishing process.
  • Audience Engagement: Monitor YouTube comments and viewer feedback to answer questions and identify new content opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree.
  • Strong knowledge of hearing aids, product platforms, and the consumer hearing care journey.
  • Comfortable, credible, and highly engaging on camera.
  • Excellent verbal communication and scriptwriting skills (with minimal use of AI).
  • Ability to explain clinical and technical topics clearly without relying on jargon.
  • Self-directed and motivated to independently identify valuable content opportunities.
  • Experience creating educational videos, presentations, webinars, or podcasts is preferred but not required.
  • Must have a quiet, dedicated space suitable for professional video recording. ZipHearing will provide the equipment and fund the setup of a professional in-home recording studio, including design and on-site production support.

Compensation and Position Details

  • $100,000+, depending on experience.
  • 401(k) plan with company contributions.
  • Full-time, 100% remote position.
  • Health insurance is not currently offered; compensation can be adjusted to help offset the cost of independently purchased coverage.
  • Flexible schedule: Work when you are most productive. We care about the quality and consistency of your videos, not whether you are online during traditional office hours.
  • Direct access to company leadership and dedicated support from a video editor.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief video introduction.

Video Requirement: Because this role takes ownership of our YouTube channel, your on-camera presence is just as important as your clinical background. Please record a 2- to 3-minute video introducing yourself and explaining why you think you would be a good fit for this role. Do not worry if your lighting, sound, or scene isn’t perfect—we will help you dial that in once hired. Upload the video to YouTube as an “Unlisted” video and include the URL at the top of your resume or in your application message. Applications without a video link will not be considered.
