Tuscarora High School: Assistant Track Coaching Positions

Tuscarora High School is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Track Coaches for the upcoming Spring season, which runs from February to May.

Responsibilities as Assistant Coach

• To work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to ensure a well-structured and effective program.
• To collaborate effectively with the athletic department.
• To attend all staff meetings as prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
• To carry out specific duties as designated by the head athletic coach.
• To recommend necessary equipment and supplies for the successful implementation of the sports program.
• To recommend suggested disciplinary actions for players who violate training rules and procedures.
• To foster among the athletes a strong desire to win, an attitude of good sportsmanship, personal pride, and pride for their school and community.
• To perform other duties related to the position of assistant athletic coach as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience or participation in track and field at either the high school or college level.
• Completion of CPR and First Aid training or current enrollment in a CPR and First Aid training course.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee within Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer a candidate who holds a Virginia Teaching License or is a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
