The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, located in Gloversville, NY. Fulton Center is a 176-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility, operating as a proud member of the Centers Health Care Consortium. This pivotal position is critical in assisting the Director of Nursing Services to manage operations, uphold the quality of care, and ultimately ensure the highest quality of life for all residents by maintaining their dignity and independence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Clinical Quality Management: Actively assist the Director of Nursing Services with management responsibilities, playing a key role in maintaining the overall quality of care and nursing standards for all residents.
• Resident Care Coordination: Take responsibility for conducting weekly Wound/Skin Rounds, coordinating and directing the total planning for comprehensive nursing services, and meticulously meeting the nursing medical needs of all residents.
• Staff Leadership and Development: Contribute significantly to the nursing department by assisting with the interviewing, hiring, and orienting of new nursing staff members, while also overseeing the daily staffing process to ensure adequate coverage and support.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure ongoing compliance with established protocols, lead efforts in infection control, and maintain accountability for the accurate and timely completion of all required medical records.
• Operational Adaptability and Communication: Foster and ensure effective communication across all levels of nursing staff, while also maintaining the necessary flexibility with the work schedule, including being available 24 hours on-call, to address unpredictable operational demands.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York. Requires a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice, specifically applied to long-term care settings.
• Experience: A minimum of three years of professional experience in Long-Term Care settings.
• Skills: Demonstrated excellent communication skills, evidence of basic leadership capabilities, and proficiency in supervising nursing staff. This role also requires the ability to maintain flexibility with work schedules and be available on-call 24 hours to address unpredictable operational needs.
• Bonus: Two years of management experience is preferred, and one year of staff education experience is also advantageous.
