Asset Management and Valuations Internship (Fall 2026) | CW

This is an in-person Asset Management and Valuations Internship at CW Financial Services LLC, located in Washington, D.C., scheduled to begin the first Monday following Labor Day in Fall 2026. CW Financial Services LLC is a premier and unique full-service real estate firm, dedicated to providing sophisticated Commercial Real Estate Finance solutions to institutional clients. This internship offers a unique opportunity to directly contribute analytical support to asset managers and valuation professionals, impacting the review of securitized commercial mortgages and individual real estate assets. Interns will immerse themselves in practical applications of real estate and finance principles, gaining hands-on experience, receiving mentorship from experienced professionals, and participating in weekly training sessions led by industry experts, all within a professional and demanding environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Assist with the development of Excel models to project cash flows and determine accurate valuations of properties across all commercial real estate asset classes.
• Credit Analysis & Underwriting Support: Perform detailed credit analysis on diverse pools of commercial mortgage-backed securities, including agency debt, and provide essential support for underwriting new real estate properties and commercial loans.
• Financial Document Review: Provide crucial analytical support by reviewing and analyzing operating statements, property budgets, various third-party reports, and comprehensive commercial lease documentation.
• Strategic Recommendations: Formulate and present data-driven recommendations to both the asset management and valuations teams, contributing directly to strategic decision-making processes.
• Market Research & Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research utilizing both internal CW databases and external third-party resources, alongside leveraging established broker relationships to gather valuable market intelligence.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participate in critical calls related to property management, leasing activities, and direct client interactions to understand operational and client needs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field.
• Experience: None explicitly required, though the internship provides hands-on analytical assignments applying real estate and finance principles.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; High motivation with a desire to learn and meet deadlines.
