Area Manager | Quince
The Tone:
This is an in-person leadership role at Quince, a company founded in 2018 to democratize luxury by offering high-quality essentials at radically low prices through a direct-to-consumer and tech-driven model. As an Area Manager, you will be instrumental in the Returns Warehouse, ensuring operational excellence, leading a team, and directly impacting the efficiency and future of Quince’s fulfillment network as the company scales.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a dedicated team of associates and leads, fostering high employee engagement, strong performance, and a safe work environment within daily operations.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the fulfillment center, ensuring all productivity requirements are met, business objectives are achieved, and a consistent, positive customer experience is maintained.
• Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities and lead the execution of process improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean tools, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies to significantly increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Performance Management: Review weekly work forecasts, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with other Area Managers to optimize labor allocation across shifts, ensuring daily production targets are consistently met.
• Compliance & Development: Uphold all safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance, provide training and support to enhance team skillsets, and adhere to all regulatory standards, including food safety, for a smooth workflow and compliant operation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, General Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), combined with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays, as required.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience specifically within a warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment environment, demonstrating a strong track record of ownership, accountability, and the ability to drive tangible results.
• Skills: Proven capability in operational management, ensuring OSHA compliance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing team development strategies, and problem-solving.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include experience managing a team of 20 or more hourly employees, familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive process improvements, excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and industry experience in retail, logistics, e-commerce, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
