Internship Job Responsibilities

As an intern, you will gain valuable exposure and experience by working on a variety of projects. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Revising Revit drawings with mark-ups
  • Working in Rhino for Schematic Design (SD) and Design Development (DD) phases
  • Site analysis
  • Schematic design contributions
  • Engineering system coordination
  • Building cost analysis
  • Code research
  • Design development
  • Design detailing
  • Specifications and materials research
  • Document checking and coordination
  • Construction documentation

Training and Mentorship Program

Our internship program is designed for growth and learning. Interns will be invited to design and project meetings, participate in on-boarding, and attend client and consultant meetings to gain comprehensive insights. You will have the invaluable opportunity to interact directly with your Project Manager, a senior representative of the firm, on a daily basis while contributing to active projects.

Key training components include:

  • Direct Mentorship: Working alongside and learning from experienced designers and Architects.
  • Specialized Modeling: Collaborating with our Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) on energy and daylight modeling scripts.
  • Software Proficiency: Participating in dedicated Revit and Rhino sessions, along with other learning and development opportunities through PW University.
  • Design & Code Acumen: Engaging in design reviews, receiving critiques, and learning essential building codes.

Required Skills

  • Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Revit & Rhino is preferred, and additional training will be provided to enhance your skills.
  • Experience: Prior work term experience within an architectural firm is required.
