The Drexel 2+4 Intern will contribute ideas and thoughtful solutions as a collaborative part of an interdisciplinary team, displaying initiative while learning. This position specifically aids in the generation of representational graphics, models, and drawings to support both design presentations and the technical delivery of projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Graphic and Model Production: Generate clear and legible graphics, professional renderings, and detailed sketches and models utilizing appropriate software, all to effectively describe design ideas and support comprehensive design presentations.
• Project Documentation and Delivery Support: Actively assist project teams in the comprehensive delivery of project documentation, ensuring all outputs meet established quality standards and production requirements for technical project delivery.
• Technical Knowledge Development: Proactively acquire an in-depth understanding of technical terms, building technology concepts, and critical industry requirements, including architectural codes and accessibility guidelines.
• Foundational Design Application: Apply a foundational understanding of site planning concepts to real-world projects, contributing to initial design phases and broader project contexts.
• Sustainable Design Integration: Approach all assigned projects with a clear understanding of sustainable concepts, contributing thoughtful and environmentally conscious solutions as a collaborative member of the interdisciplinary team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position; currently enrolled in the Drexel University Bachelor of Architecture program.
• Experience: Must have completed 2 years of the Drexel University Bachelor of Architecture program.
• Skills: Ability to develop legible graphics, create renderings and sketches, capacity to actively acquire building technology knowledge, understanding of project documentation, and foundational knowledge of site planning and sustainability.
• Bonus: Prior summer internships are preferred.
