Strategy & Ops Associate, Applied AI | Clipboard
The Tone:
This is a full-time individual contributor role at Clipboard, located remotely in the United States. Clipboard is actively evolving its internal tooling ecosystem to enhance efficiency across all operational functions. This position is central to strengthening the underlying foundation of our operational stack, working hands-on with a range of tools, including support platforms, AI-driven systems, and internal automations. The successful candidate will play a key part in improving how our day-to-day operations function and ensuring our tooling stack scales effectively with the business’s growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Execute: Drive high-priority tooling and automation initiatives across the operational stack.
• Build: Create and refine workflows, integrations, and automations to enhance daily efficiency.
• Support: Improve systems across multiple tools, including support platforms and AI-driven solutions.
• Solve: Translate defined problems into practical, well-scoped technical solutions.
• Maintain: Troubleshoot issues, improve system reliability, and ensure tools perform effectively in production.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A hands-on individual contributor role focused on the strategic support and evolution of internal operational tooling. The ideal candidate will strengthen the foundation of the company’s operational stack by refining existing systems and introducing new tooling where necessary.
• Experience: Demonstrated comfort and capability in working with APIs, integrations, and various automation tooling. Proven ability to build, debug, and adapt across different systems independently, without requiring heavy oversight. Experience in taking defined problems and driving them through to completion while managing multiple priorities effectively and maintaining a high bar for quality and reliability.
• Skills:
• Technical Fluency: Comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and automation tooling; able to build, debug, and adapt across different systems without relying on heavy oversight.
• Systems Thinking: Possesses a deep understanding of how tools, workflows, and dependencies connect, consistently seeking ways to improve how systems operate together rather than just individual components.
• Problem Solving: Capable of taking loosely defined or broadly scoped problems and translating them into practical, well-structured, and actionable technical solutions.
• Execution Discipline: Effectively manages multiple priorities, drives defined problems through to completion, and consistently maintains a high bar for quality and reliability in all delivered work.
• Ownership Mindset: Takes full responsibility for delivering high-quality work and is committed to improving the team’s day-to-day operations through enhanced tooling and streamlined processes.
• Bonus: Experience working with support platforms such as Zendesk; familiarity with AI-driven tools and automation workflows; a background in Ops, Support, or CX environments; or experience working with evolving or fragmented tooling stacks.
