Accounts Receivable Clerk | Aston Carter

This role is crucial for supporting the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and reconciliation of internal records with partner statements. The TL;DR

• Pay: $20–$21 hourly
• Team: Supports the AR specialist and broader team.
• Mission: Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, data matching, and reconciliation for accounts receivable.
• Tech Stack: Blackline, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), ERP systems, financial reporting tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Extraction: Extract and compile data from Blackline on a regular basis, as needed.
• Report Generation: Generate reconciliation reports and update accounts receivable reports, including aging schedules.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of customer account statements, aging reports, and payment histories.
• Team Support: Support the team with up-to-date reporting and account analysis, including ad hoc reports requested by management.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with company policies and established accounting standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a solid understanding of core accounting principles.
• Experience: Proficiency in accounts receivable processes, strong data entry skills, and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Skills: Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs; solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
• Bonus: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to work independently and meet deadlines, good communication and interpersonal skills, experience with ERP systems, familiarity with financial reporting tools, and a basic understanding of GAAP principles.
