Bilingual Staff Accountant | EOS Accountants LLP

The Tone:
This is a full-time, exempt role with EOS Accountants LLP, offering teleworking options. EOS Accountants LLP is an accounting firm dedicated to providing comprehensive financial services to its clients. This role is crucial for an individual eager to acquire and develop competence, skills, and judgment in core accounting principles and auditing procedures. The Staff Accountant will play a direct part in client satisfaction by ensuring accurate financial records, compliance, and providing essential accounting advice.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Accounting: Understand client businesses, determine and post appropriate entries, and maintain supporting schedules for financial accuracy.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare reconciliations for main accounts, create them if necessary, and generate reporting packages in the client’s specified format.
• Client Communication: Interact proactively with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, make recommendations, and provide timely accounting advice.
• Compliance & Software: Assist clients with business compliance needs, process cash payments, communicate with banks, and perform required steps for compilation engagements using ProSystem fx Engagement.
• Engagement Management: Assist supervisors in running efficient engagements, including drafting engagement letters and invoices, while managing time effectively across multiple simultaneous engagements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college/university, preparing the individual for an early career in professional accounting.
• Experience: A CPA license or qualification to sit for the CPA exam is required, alongside hands-on use of accounting software, specifically QuickBooks (both Online and Desktop).
• Skills: Strong accounting and analytical skills, proficiency in Accounting software, Excel, and Word, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, detail-orientation, ability to multi-task, and Japanese language and writing proficiency.
