Summer 2028 Accounting Intern | BGM
The Tone:
This is an internship role at BGM, located in Bloomington, MN. BGM offers entrepreneurs, business owners, organizations, and individuals a wide range of advisory, audit, accounting, and tax services designed to meet both business and personal needs. This role is designed to give motivated, curious, and service-minded accounting students meaningful, hands-on experience. Interns will contribute to real client work, gain exposure to audit and tax, and work alongside professionals to build technical skills, confidence, and understanding of the public accounting profession.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assurance: Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and other assurance engagements.
• Tax Support: Support tax return preparation and other tax-related projects.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze client information and financial data.
• Issue Identification: Assist engagement teams with identifying issues and communicating findings.
• Research: Complete tax research and special projects as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; Entry-Level.
• Experience: Interested in gaining experience in public accounting; available to work approximately 20–30 hours per week during the internship; able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; able to work from the Bloomington, Minnesota office during the internship.
• Skills: Service-minded with strong interpersonal skills; a strong verbal and written communicator; curious, dependable, and willing to learn.
