This is an internship at Susquehanna International Group, located in Bala-Cynwyd, PA. Susquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm that designs and deploys impactful strategies in systematic trading environments by applying machine learning and advanced quantitative research to large datasets. As an Accounting intern, you will expand your accounting knowledge by preparing and reconciling financial statements and general ledgers, gaining exposure to various departments and systems. This role is crucial for learning current accounting rules and their business impact within a collaborative, non-hierarchical culture focused on continuous development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Knowledge Expansion: Expand accounting knowledge through hands-on experience and formal training.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and general ledgers.
• Data Reconciliation: Reconcile financial statements and general ledgers to ensure accuracy.
• Cross-functional Exposure: Work on projects that expose you to departments such as trading, operations, and technology.
• Regulatory Learning: Learn about current accounting rules and their impact on various aspects of the business.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, intending to graduate within one year of the internship program. Entry-level.
• Experience: Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Skills: Ability to collaborate with a team, confidence to work independently, a proactive approach, flexibility, dedication to new ideas, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Prior co-op, internship, or project experience in accounting, or experience with Python, HTML, VBA, or SQL.
