Accounting Intern | Acres

The Tone:
This is an onsite internship at Acres, located in Fayetteville, AR. Acres is a leading land intelligence platform analyzing over 150M U.S. land parcels to power faster, smarter decisions for real estate, corporate, agriculture, and finance. This role offers hands-on experience in corporate accounting, contributing directly to the accurate classification of transactions and management of accounts payable, which is vital for maintaining data-driven transparency in America’s largest asset. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (10-25 hours per week)
• Location: In-person, Fayetteville, AR

• Team: Reports to the Accounting team.
• Mission: This person classifies financial transactions, manages the accounts payable process, and supports the overall accounting function to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Google G Suite, Rippling Spend, Stripe.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transactions: Classify daily Rippling Spend transactions.
• Payables: Manage the accounts payable process.
• Entries: Manage Stripe daily journal entries.
• Advisory: Work cross-functionally to gather financial information and advise managers on spending.
• Reporting: Assist on the monthly close reporting process.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Students currently pursuing an Accounting degree, having completed at least two years of study.
• Experience: Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, or Google G Suite. A working knowledge of QuickBooks is required, or a strong eagerness to learn.
• Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt and work effectively in an environment where priorities shift quickly.
• Bonus: Genuine interest and curiosity in SaaS, finance, data, and technology.
