Accounting Intern | Cytek Biosciences

The Tone:
This is an internship at Cytek Biosciences, located in Fremont, CA. Cytek Biosciences is a growing biotechnology company that develops cell analysis solutions used by researchers and clinicians globally. This role provides practical, hands-on experience in Accounts Payable and foundational General Ledger accounting within the Finance team. The intern will contribute to financial operations, gain exposure to monthly close processes and internal financial controls, and support cross-functional collaboration in a busy, evolving environment, preparing them for a career in accounting.

• Mission: Support the Finance team by accurately processing vendor invoices, managing expenses, and assisting with foundational General Ledger accounting tasks.
• Tech Stack: Expensify, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Processing: Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to approval workflows.
• Expense Management: Support the Expensify system, including assisting with data cleanup and maintaining accurate expense records.
• Vendor Communication: Collaborate with the purchasing department and other teams to resolve invoice issues, variances, and manage vendor inquiries and payment requests.
• Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation for financial records.
• Month-End & Audit Support: Learn to prepare month-end accrual entries, assist with basic account reconciliation tasks, and provide support on accounting-related audit activities and ad hoc projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited U.S. university OR graduating in Spring 2026 with a major in accounting or a related field. Must be a minimum of 18 years old, in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and possess a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience: Ability to complete an 8–10 weeks internship between June and August. The intern must be able to work on site for the full duration of the internship and have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a team-oriented, collaborative work style.
