This internship is designed to provide invaluable hands-on experience in supporting core general accounting functions within a public company environment, allowing interns to work on meaningful projects and receive mentorship.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Record Keeping: Assist in the preparation and processing of journal entries, contributing to the accurate recording of financial transactions and data within the company’s systems.
• Account Reconciliation: Support the reconciliation of various accounts, ensuring the integrity and precision of financial data and statements.
• Month-End Close: Contribute to the efficient execution of month-end close processes, playing a supportive role in the critical financial reporting cycle.
• Audit Documentation: Prepare and organize necessary documentation and financial information to assist with audit preparations, ensuring readiness for internal and external reviews.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and support reporting requirements, aiding in the generation of insights and accurate summaries for financial stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional currently pursuing a degree in either Accounting or Finance. This foundational academic pursuit is essential for understanding core financial concepts.
• Experience: Possesses a basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Prior experience with using Excel spreadsheets for data management and analysis or familiarity with specialized accounting systems is required.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong organizational capabilities to manage tasks effectively and excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members. Exhibits strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial tasks.
