The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (20 to 30 hours per week)
• Location: In-person, Tampa, FL

• Team: Reports to Accounting Manager
• Mission: This intern program provides hands-on learning experiences to develop accounting knowledge and skills within a global sports organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Observe: Attend accounting team meetings and key monthly review sessions with North America and global finance teams to understand ongoing work and how financial results are assessed.
• Learn: Gain fundamental knowledge of the month-end close process, including the processing of journal entries and the creation of trial balances and financial statements.
• Prepare: Learn how to prepare and assist the accounting team with balance sheet account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Report: Assist in running reports from the accounting and reporting system and perform various data comparison assignments to understand general ledger data.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, in the process of earning a degree in accounting or a finance-related field.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience required, but academic progress in a relevant field is essential.
• Skills: Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
