This Accounting Intern role is essential for bolstering the finance team’s operations, ensuring efficient processing of transactions, and contributing directly to the accurate management of the company’s financial information.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable Processing: Process vendor invoices, including inventory, expense, and freight-related activity, utilizing the AP automation tool Softco.
• Vendor Statement Reconciliation: Review vendor statements thoroughly to ensure accuracy and initiate requests for any missing invoices or necessary credits.
• Financial Document Management: Assist with the organization, data entry, and filing of various financial documents to maintain orderly records.
• Month-End Close Support: Perform assigned duties to support the finance team during month-end close procedures and other general finance-related tasks.
• Accounts Receivable Assistance: Provide support to the accounts receivable team with billing, invoicing, and other related needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, specifically as a Junior or Senior, with a basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, good communication, teamwork abilities, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Bonus: A foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
