This Accounting Assistant position is crucial for supporting the full project lifecycle business functions within a collaborative regional Project Accounting team. What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Project Accountants: Provide comprehensive support to Project Accountants for both internal and external client business-related tasks.
• Manage Invoicing: Prepare and dispatch monthly invoices, which may necessitate compiling expense backups, detailed timesheet information, pay applications, or adherence to other client-specific requirements.
• Collect Accounts Receivable: Collaborate closely with Project Accountants to proactively monitor and diligently follow up on unpaid invoices to effectively collect outstanding accounts receivable balances directly from clients.
• Process Payments: Evaluate incoming payments meticulously to ensure accurate and proper cash application, and efficiently process accounts payable, overhead invoices, and check requests.
• Ensure Project Setup Compliance: Review client contracts thoroughly to ensure accurate and compliant project setup, along with managing electronic contracts and various other documents.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent with core accounting knowledge.
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant accounting experience or completion of pertinent accounting coursework.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), high degree of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, excellent team player, ability to multi-task effectively and thrive in a deadline-driven environment, and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Deltek CostPoint proficiency is a significant plus.
