What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Take responsibility for preparing and accurately submitting various financial reports to both division and corporate leadership, ensuring timely and precise communication of financial performance.
• Month-End Close Support: Play a key role in the month-end close process, meticulously preparing journal entries and conducting thorough reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial statements.
• Process and Control Enhancement: Actively maintain and continuously improve internal controls and accounting processes, contributing to operational efficiency and adherence to best practices.
• Accounts Payable and Vendor Coordination: Provide essential assistance with accounts payable processes, including effective coordination and communication with vendors to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Financial Project Contributions: Contribute meaningfully to a range of financial projects, including key areas like budgeting, inventory management, and various ad hoc financial analyses crucial for strategic decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, establishing a strong academic foundation in financial principles and practices.
• Experience: Possess 1 to 3 or more years of hands-on accounting experience, demonstrating practical application of accounting knowledge. Prior experience specifically within a manufacturing environment is preferred due to the nature of the operations supported.
• Skills: Exhibit strong proficiency with ERP systems, which are essential for managing financial data and processes. Advanced Excel skills are a critical requirement for complex data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a significant advantage, showcasing familiarity with a key system used within the company. A background in manufacturing accounting would also be highly beneficial.
