Academic Services Graduate Assistant | University of Georgia
The Tone:
This is a part-time graduate assistant role at the University of Georgia, located in Athens, GA. Chartered in 1785 and recognized as the birthplace of public higher education in America, UGA serves as the state’s flagship university, consistently ranked among the top 20 public universities. This position is vital to the Athletics-Student Services Department, supporting the academic success of student-athletes within a Division I member of the Southeastern Conference by assisting with the critical operations of the UGAAA tutoring program.

• Mission: To facilitate the daily operations and administrative functions of the UGAAA tutoring program, ensuring comprehensive academic support for student-athletes.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Support: Provide comprehensive assistance to the Academic Services Team in managing the daily operations and administrative requirements of the UGAAA tutoring program.
• Executive Assistance: Support the Associate Director of Academic Services with various executive tasks as needed.
• Council Oversight: Take responsibility for overseeing the activities and functions of the Rankin Support Staff Council.
• General Duties: Fulfill additional duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the Academic Services Department.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be accepted into a University of Georgia graduate program and be able to enroll in at least 9 graduate-level credit hours per semester.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to provide administrative support and assist with program operations, particularly within an academic or athletic support context.
• Skills: Strong organizational and administrative capabilities, ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, flexibility to work non-traditional hours including nights, and capability for driving as needed for job duties.
