Job Description: 2025 Summer Internship – Procurement
PulteGroup offers summer internships providing hands-on experience in the homebuilding industry. Interns gain a holistic understanding of the industry through rotational shadowing across various functions and departments. The internship focuses on contributing to meaningful projects under the guidance of experienced professionals within a chosen function. The company invests in intern development via centralized training opportunities. The internship culminates in a capstone presentation to local Division leadership.
Specific Responsibilities (Procurement):
• Work collaboratively with various roles and departments, fostering connections and breaking down silos.
• Collaborate with vendors, understanding their integral role in operations.
• Learn about bid submittals, negotiation, and cost-saving strategies through shadowing.
General Internship Details:
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, May 19, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (12 weeks). Specific schedules depend on the internship position and requirements; flexibility may be accommodated.
• Compensation: $20/hour (Pay varies by position and location).
• Benefits: Temporary employees are eligible for the company’s 401(k) plan.
• Format: Primarily in-person at one of 29 Division Offices or in development communities. Interns shadow various functions within the homebuilding process for a comprehensive industry overview. A capstone presentation or final project may be included.
• Locations: Numerous locations across the United States (see application for complete list).
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Undergraduate or graduate student enrollment (or recent graduate). Sophomore status or higher preferred.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 preferred.
• Skills/Attributes: Curious, coachable, personable, patient, action-oriented, accountable, motivated, enthusiastic, excellent verbal and written communication, strong tech skills (Excel, Microsoft Teams), strong organizational skills, self-motivation, learning agility, bias for action, and strong interest in the homebuilding, real estate, and/or construction industry. Extracurricular involvement is a plus.
