Job Description: Fundraising Intern

Job Title: Fundraising Intern
Location: Remote
Compensation: Unpaid
Time Commitment: 4–6 hours per week
Duration: Fall 2025 (Applications are accepted on a rolling basis)

This internship is designed for individuals eager to contribute to the growth and impact of Future Physicians by securing necessary funding. The role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit operations and fundraising within a fast-moving, youth-led executive team.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

Research and Identification: Proactively identify potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsors, and various other funding opportunities relevant to the organization’s mission.
Proposal Development: Assist in the drafting, editing, and refinement of grant applications and sponsorship proposals to effectively communicate Future Physicians’ mission and impact to potential funders.
Donor Relations: Help coordinate outreach efforts to prospective donors, manage follow-ups, and maintain a system for tracking donor relationships and communications.
Campaign Development: Brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for fundraising campaigns and giving drives to engage a broader donor base.
Data Management: Track incoming donations accurately and assist in maintaining the organization’s fundraising dashboard, likely utilizing tools like Google Sheets.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with a dynamic, youth-led executive team, gaining direct exposure to nonprofit operational strategies.

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For):

Passion: A strong enthusiasm for healthcare, education equity, or youth empowerment initiatives.
Skills: Demonstrated strong writing and research capabilities are essential.
Work Ethic: Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently, and highly reliable in meeting deadlines.
Organization: Possesses excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with proficiency in using tools like Google Sheets.
Experience: No prior fundraising experience is required; a strong willingness to learn and adapt is key.
