Internship Purpose & Experience:
As an intern, you will:
• Gain valuable, hands-on experience in public accounting.

• Test and apply your technical accounting knowledge.
• Learn directly from experienced senior staff and management personnel, developing your professional skillset.

Types & Duration of Internships:
• Internships are available in:
• Assurance (audit)
• Tax
• A combination of assurance and tax.
• Availability depends on local office needs.
• Positions can be part-time or full-time.
• Typical durations:
• Winter Semester: Early-January through April 15th.
• Summer: Early-June through mid-August.
Key Responsibilities (How You Will Contribute):
Interns will be actively involved in client work, including:
• Completing audit testing for various financial statement accounts (e.g., cash, accounts payable, fixed assets).
• Collaborating with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Assisting in drafting management letter comments and sections of the audit report.
• Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers, gaining direct exposure to client interaction.
Required Skills & Qualities (What We’re Looking For):

• Strong computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is preferred).

Educational & Licensure Requirements:
• Intern candidates must be actively working toward an accounting degree.
• Candidates must be pursuing CPA licensure eligibility.
Logistical & Legal Requirements:
• Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office.
• Must be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person as required.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Compensation & Benefits (New York City Specific):
• In compliance with New York State and local pay transparency laws (including New York City), the salary range provided is specific to the New York markets.
• NY Minimum Salary (USD): $30
• NY Maximum Salary (USD): $30

• The actual salary for the role will be determined based on the individual’s experience, education, and skill set.
