This is an Undergrad Private Equity Internship at Caprae Capital Partners, requiring approximately 10 hours per week. The internship is designed for individuals with a strong passion for finance, particularly private equity and ESG, and a mission-driven mindset. Due to the firm’s recent expansion, interns will have a unique opportunity to contribute from the ground level and potentially take on a leadership role within the internship program. This role is also highly beneficial for those considering future careers in strategy and consulting, offering valuable exposure and experience for developing strong business acumen.
Key Responsibilities and Work:
• Contribute ideas regarding target industries based on the fund’s specific search criteria.
• Research industries thoroughly to assess their attractiveness, including analyzing growth potential, profitability, market trends, fragmentation, and developing an investment thesis.
• Contact companies directly to arrange phone meetings.
• Collaborate closely with the executive team and product/project management team to onboard vendor partners and integrate their services into the fund’s software.
• Identify and evaluate potential Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) opportunities within designated markets.
Internship Structure and Progression:
• The internship spans 16 weeks.
• High-performing interns may have the opportunity to extend their internship.
• Exceptional performance can lead to the internship transitioning into a paid role.
• Paid interns will have the chance to secure a full-time offer upon successful completion.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Must be an undergraduate student with a keen career interest in Finance, Private Equity, Banking, Corporate Strategy, or Market Research.
• Possess strong research and analysis skills.
• Demonstrate intellectual maturity, including the ability to comprehend complex screening criteria, make astute subjective judgments to recommend target companies, and consistently deliver accurate work by committed deadlines to senior executives.
• Capable of credibility engaging in conversations with company owners.
• Exhibit strong social skills and a willingness to travel if required and/or qualifications are met.
• Proficiency in additional language skills is considered a significant advantage.
