Job Description

This job posting is for the 2026 Commercial Banking Summer Internship – Early Careers program at Wells Fargo.

Program Overview:
This is a structured 10-week summer internship program specifically designed for undergraduate students. Its primary goal is to provide interns with a basic understanding of Commercial Banking and potential career paths within the field through hands-on experience. Interns will work directly with an experienced team within one of Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking businesses, gaining exposure to the company’s operations, business strategies, and culture. The program is designed to develop interns for their next career steps, offering insights into Wells Fargo’s corporate and credit culture, professional development, skill acquisition, community involvement, networking, and analytical training specific to the line of business.

During the Summer, the program focuses on your development through:

Induction Week: A week-long onboarding and training session that includes networking opportunities with peers and leaders across Wells Fargo.
On-the-job experience: Interns will have meaningful, in-depth experiences working as part of a high-performing team, actively participating in day-to-day activities to build analytical skills and understand key processes.
Professional support: Interns will be partnered with high-performing employees who serve as resources, coaches, and provide feedback.
A virtual speaker series: Top Wells Fargo leaders provide insights into maximizing the summer experience and learning about financial services industry trends.
Organized networking activities: Opportunities for community involvement and networking with peers and employees throughout Wells Fargo.

In This Role You Will (Responsibilities):

• Participate in formal internship program activities, workshops, and various initiatives.
• Complete assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures related to low-to-medium complex tasks.
• Conduct research and financial analysis to assess client needs and identify optimal Wells Fargo products and services.
Partner with relationship managers, product specialists, and credit underwriters to support real-time business efforts that drive client outcomes.
• Receive direction from a manager while exercising independent judgment, developing knowledge of compliance and risk management requirements.
• Prioritize work, apply attention to detail, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

Program Duration:
The program is 10 weeks long, scheduled from June to August 2026 (exact dates are TBD and subject to change).

Required Qualifications, US: 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 or May/June 2027. All majors are welcome.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
• Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities (volunteerism, student organizations, study abroad, leadership positions, non-profit involvement).
• Proven ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a collaborative, change-driven atmosphere.
• Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, acts with urgency, remains curious, and has a genuine interest in learning and growth.
• Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and/or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.

Offers are made for specific office locations based on candidate preference and business needs. The posting specifically lists:

Pay Range:
The base pay range offered for this position is $18.00 – $65.00 per hour. Pay may vary based on factors like achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The New York, NY location has a specified rate of $43.27/hr.
