Job Description: Wells Fargo 2026 Commercial Banking Summer Internship – Early Careers

This is a structured 10-week summer internship program offered by Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking division, designed for undergraduate students. The program aims to provide participants with a fundamental understanding of Commercial Banking and explore potential career paths through hands-on experience. Interns will work with experienced teams within one of Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking businesses, gaining exposure to the company’s operations, business strategies, and culture.

During The Summer, The Program Focuses On Your Development By Providing:

Induction Week: A week-long onboarding and training session that includes networking opportunities with peers and leaders from across Wells Fargo.
On-the-job experience: Interns will have meaningful and in-depth experiences, actively participating in their team’s day-to-day activities to build analytical skills and a basic understanding of key processes.
Professional support: Interns will be partnered with high-performing employees who serve as resources and coaches, offering guidance, feedback, and support throughout the summer.
A virtual speaker series: Top Wells Fargo leaders will provide insights into making the most of the summer experience and discuss trends in the financial services industry.
Organized networking activities: Opportunities for community involvement and networking with peers and employees across Wells Fargo.

In This Role You Will:

• Participate in formal internship program activities, workshops, and various initiatives.
• Complete assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures related to low-to-medium complex tasks and deliverables.
• Conduct research and financial analysis to assess client needs and identify optimal Wells Fargo products and services.
• Partner with relationship managers, product specialists, and credit underwriters to support real-time business efforts that drive client outcomes.
• Receive direction from a manager while exercising independent judgment, developing knowledge of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area.
• Prioritize work, apply attention to detail, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

Program Duration:

• 10 weeks, from June to August 2026 (exact dates are TBD and subject to change).

Required Qualifications (US): 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 or May/June 2027. All majors are welcome.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills (reiterated from required).
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy (reiterated from required).
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities (e.g., volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad, leadership positions, non-profit involvement).
• Proven ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a collaborative, change-driven atmosphere.
• Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, acts with urgency, remains curious, and has a genuine interest in learning and growth (reiterated from required).
Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and/or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.

Offers will be made for a specific office location based on candidate preference and business needs. Interns will be notified of their specific Commercial Banking business placement prior to the program start. Locations include:

Pay Range (Hourly):

• Atlanta, GA: $36.06/hr
• Boston, MA: $43.27/hr
• Charlotte, NC: $36.06/hr
• Chicago, IL: $39.90/hr
• Dallas, TX: $36.06/hr
• Minneapolis, MN: $36.06/hr
• Phoenix, AZ: $36.06/hr
• *Note: A broader base pay range of $18.00 – $65.00 is also indicated as one component of the compensation package.•
