About the Job
Job Title: Qualified Intern/Trainee (Praktikant – w/m/d)
Duration: The internship requires a minimum 6-month commitment.
Departments/Focus: The role is focused on providing insights and practical experience in international accounting, auditing, and tax consulting (Wirtschaftsprüfung und Steuerberatung).
Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities:
• Gaining practical experience in all areas of US-American and German auditing and tax consulting.
• Receiving training in various relevant software and processes, including ProSystems Engagement, Microsoft Excel, preparation of bank reconciliations, cash audits, tax estimates, and more.
• Collaborating within a high-performing and interdisciplinary team.
• Engaging in challenging activities within an international work environment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
• Education: At least three semesters of economics studies with a strong focus on (international) accounting, auditing, and/or taxes.
• Experience: Possessing first theoretical and/or practical experience in accounting and/or taxes.
• Languages: Fluent knowledge of German and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Soft Skills:
• Enjoyment of teamwork.

• Self-initiative and independent working methods.
• High level of quality awareness.
• Good analytical skills.
• Bonus Qualifications: Previous internships abroad and other additional qualifications are considered advantageous.
Compensation:
• Base Pay Range: $20-32 per hour.
• Location Specifics: This pay range is specifically mentioned for the Chicago, Denver, and Manhattan metropolitan areas.
