Job Title: Intern
Job Type: Internship
Duration: One-year duration, with flexibility to be part-time while in school.
Salary: $19- $21/hr
Overview:
Lactalis USA is seeking an Intern to join their team. This role is designed for individuals looking for a position that can potentially grow into a long-term career within the company. The intern will primarily assist the Brand Manager–President Brand in various marketing and product development functions, operating in a fast-paced environment that requires high levels of collaboration with various cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
The Intern’s responsibilities are centered around supporting the Président brand and include:
• Brand Management Support: Assisting the Brand Manager in the ongoing managing, monitoring, and development of the Président brand of dairy products.
• New Product Development (NPD): Supporting the Brand Manager with managing the new product development process from inception to launch.
• Data Management: Taking responsibility for managing several databases, requiring a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Market Research & Analysis: Conducting research and reporting on dairy market trends utilizing various data analytics tools. This includes drawing insightful conclusions and formulating actionable recommendations based on the findings.
• Budget Support: Assisting the Brand Manager in the development and tracking of annual marketing budgets.
• Performance Evaluation: Helping with the tracking and analyzing of sales and marketing programs to evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness.
• Marketing Material Development: Supporting the Brand Manager with the development of marketing materials, including brief writing and agency management.
• Communication & Discipline: Communicating results effectively and maintaining a disciplined approach to activity and attitude.
• Relationship Management: Maintaining effective and cooperative relationships with members of Sales & Marketing teams and other departments within the company.
• Compliance: Complying with all Lactalis American Group policies, including those explained by Legal and Human Resources.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
• Education: Recently graduated or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge in Sales and Project Management to effectively assist in sales processes.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Skills & Abilities:
• Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization may be limited. This includes the ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
• Computer Skills: Very strong computer skills are essential, with a particular emphasis on being comfortable and highly proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
