This is an internship at TikTok, a leading destination for short-form mobile video. The Monetization User Research team serves as the gateway to TikTok’s business services, helping clients seamlessly connect with their audiences and unlock their brand’s full potential. This role is crucial for inspiring and empowering clients to achieve their goals, explore new opportunities, and create value through TikTok. Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths, supplemented by social events and enriching development workshops for personal and professional growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research Leadership: Lead strategic research to identify novel product opportunities and conduct independent research on product experiences within the global monetization space.
• Data Collection & Analysis: Collect and analyze user behavior through methods such as lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, and online experiments.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Prioritize research opportunities by working closely with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UX Researchers in a rapidly changing environment.
• Requirements Integration: Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research initiatives.
• Communication & Advocacy: Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through structured written reports and engaging in-person presentations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Market Research, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Strong interest in user research and Internet products; able to commit to a 12-week full-time work period during Summer 2026.
• Skills: Understanding of common user research methods; strong learning ability, thinking, and summarization skills; capable of using English as a working language.
• Bonus: Majoring in Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, or Advertising; capable of conducting independent analysis and judgment; possess data sensitivity; proactive in continuous learning and work optimization.
