Summer Intern | Venture Starters

The Tone:
This is a part-time, non-paid internship at Venture Starters, located remotely with flexible hours. Venture Starters is a global startup community and public service platform focused on supporting founders to build teams and solve world problems. This role provides real exposure to the startup ecosystem, allowing participants to gain first-hand insights into founders, investors, and the process of building a company from the ground up. The internship offers a unique opportunity to observe and learn without interrupting current commitments, ultimately providing a recognized credential for your professional profile.

• Mission: To provide participants with first-hand exposure to the startup ecosystem and a pathway to connect with founders and investors.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Attend Pitch Meetings: Attend eight (8) Venture Starters Free Pitch Zoom meetings over 3–6 months.
• Observe Startup Pitches: Observe startup founders pitching real companies and learn about their ventures and progress.
• Gain Investor Insights: Gain first-hand insights into what investors look for and how ideas turn into funded startups.
• Learn Startup Formation: Witness early-stage teams forming in real time and understand the dynamics of startup development.
• Connect for Opportunities: Identify and connect with startups that may be seeking interns for separate opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student. An interest in startups, entrepreneurship, or venture capital is essential.
• Experience: No specific prior experience required.
• Skills:
• Able to attend a 2-hour Zoom session.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Comfortable working remotely.
• Bonus: Experience with events or communities is a plus.
