About the Company:

Punchbowl News is a news content company focused on power, people, and politics in Washington. Their primary focus is breaking news about power, the nation’s political leadership, and explaining how Washington works to their audience of political enthusiasts. They produce multiple newsletters daily, a daily podcast, and numerous events. Punchbowl News’ audience includes members of Congress, high-ranking government officials, lobbyists, reporters, media executives, Wall Street and tech professionals, and political fans.

About the Job: Fall 2025 Business Internship

• Duration: Early September to Early December 2025
• Hours: Tuesday – Thursday, up to 24 hours per week
• Compensation: $23 per hour

This internship offers hands-on experience on the business side of political news coverage. The intern will gain exposure to revenue generation and business operations within the media industry, with opportunities to engage with both the business and editorial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of sales and marketing materials, including proposals and presentations.
• Identify and research potential growth areas and market trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement revenue-generating initiatives.
• Support the planning and execution of special events and external engagements.
• Help maintain customer databases and CRM tools.
• Provide administrative support and assist with general day-to-day operations for the business team.
• Other duties as assigned.
