Job Description:
Wells Fargo is seeking talent for their 2026 Commercial Banking Summer Internship – Early Careers program in Charlotte, NC. This is a 10-week structured program designed to provide undergraduate students with a basic understanding of Commercial Banking and potential career paths through hands-on experience.
Program Overview:
• Wells Fargo Commercial Banking provides solutions, expertise, and insights to enable clients’ growth.
• The internship offers exposure to Wells Fargo’s operations, business strategies, and culture.
Key Focus Areas During the Internship:
• Induction Week: Onboarding and training session with interns across Wells Fargo, including networking opportunities.
• On-the-Job Experience: Meaningful experiences working as part of a high-performing team to build analytical skills.
• Professional Support: Partnering with experienced employees who will serve as resources and coaches.
• Virtual Speaker Series: Insights from Wells Fargo leaders and learning about trends in financial services.
• Organized Networking Activities: Community involvement and networking with peers and employees across Wells Fargo.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in formal internship activities, workshops, and initiatives.
• Complete assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures.
• Conduct research and financial analysis to assess client needs.
• Partner with relationship managers, product specialists, and credit underwriters.
• Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment.
• Prioritize work, apply attention to detail, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
Program Details:
• Duration: 10 weeks, June-August 2026 (exact dates TBD)
• Location: Offers are made for specific office locations based on candidate preference and business needs.

Required Qualifications:
• 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent
Desired Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 or May/June 2027. All majors welcome.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Involvement in extracurricular activities
• Knowledge, interest, and/or experience in finance, accounting, and sales

Pay Range:
Charlotte, NC: $36.06/hr
