Job Description: Financial Representative Intern

This internship at Northwestern Mutual Arizona offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial planning industry. Interns will learn to build a financial planning practice, leveraging local and nationwide expertise and exclusive financial products. The program mirrors the full-time Financial Representative role, providing a comprehensive understanding of the profession.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition: Build a client base through prospecting and networking.
Client Meetings: Call on potential clients and conduct meetings to understand their financial goals.
Financial Planning: Prepare financial plans and offer relevant recommendations.
Software Proficiency: Gain exposure to financial planning software platforms.
Licensing: Obtain a Life, Accident, and Health insurance license.
Training & Development: Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.

Qualifications:

• Full-time student, juniors and seniors preferred
• Entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity for sales

• Excellent time-management skills
• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools
• Business savvy
