Job Description: College Financial Representative Internship

This internship program provides a framework for building a financial planning practice. Interns, who come from diverse academic backgrounds, receive guidance and support from local and nationwide experts, access to exclusive financial products, and the backing of a Fortune 500 company. The program aims to build confidence, develop a professional network, and help people achieve financial freedom.

Responsibilities:

• Learn to prospect and network to build a business and client base.
Develop and execute a business strategy.
Call on potential clients and set up meetings to understand their financial goals.
Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations.
• Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms.
• Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
• Obtain Risk Product State Licensing: Life, Accident, and Health.
• Build life skills that create future career opportunities.

The internship offers a flexible schedule to accommodate classes. It is a year-round program with support for registrations and certifications like the Series 6 & 63 or CFP®. There are opportunities for recognition events, leadership programs, and collaboration with experts. Eligible students may interview for a full-time Financial Representative or Advisor role upon graduation.

Qualifications:

• Full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred.
Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales.
• Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, campus orgs, student government, etc.).
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
• Business savvy and desire to increase critical thinking abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

Performance-based earnings and revenue
